Dental Restorations in Halifax
When decay is detected in your teeth, restorations commonly called fillings, are often the recommended treatment. Fillings can be done in either composite (white) or amalgam (silver). Although both are options, we might recommend one option over the other based on your particular circumstances. We also offer custom porcelain fillings, called inlays or onlays. Your dentist will advise you and you can discuss which filling would best suit your needs.
If the filling is extremely large or the tooth has been compromised by decay, another procedure may be recommended, involving prosthodontics. (Please see the section titled Prosthodontics.)
